Raised Dog Bed
Your dog needs his own dog bed as the average adult dog will sleep up to 12 hours
a day - so they need somewhere very comfortable and cosy to sleep. It will give
him his own space and make him feel secure. Of the many different types of dog bed
available on the market the raised dog bed is a popular choice amongst dog owners.
The main benefit to a raised dog bed is that allows air to circulate underneath
the bed thus keeping your dog cool in the summer and preventing him from getting
too cold in the winter. Often fitted with special knitted mesh fabric, these beds
keep cool and dry because the material breathes. If used outside, no standing water
will stay on the top of the bed and will fall through the breathable material.
The breathability of the bed fabric helps deter insects and bacterial infestation
and prevents mold and mildew from forming. You can put your raised dog bed on grass,
a concrete floor, patio floor or hard kitchen floor and you dog will always feel
comfortable, regardless.
Other types of dog beds whose base comes in direct contact with the floor may disturb
some dogs as you move it from one surface to another so a raised bed is the perfect
solution in this case.
Most raised dog beds can be easily dismantled in minutes. This is ideal if you are
on the move with your dog such as camping, on a day out or visiting friends so you
will have the peace of mind and know your dog will be able to rest in comfort.
These beds usually come in three sizes: small, medium and large and are typically
6" raised off the ground - so even the smallest dog can climb onto the bed without
any problems. Be sure to purchase the correct bed size for your dog - don't buy
one too small. You pet needs to be comfortable so be sure to measure your dog and
check out the sizes of the beds before you purchase. Make sure you allow for 6"
around the dog when they lying down on the bed.
There will be a variety of styles and colors to choose from so there will be one
to fit into your home. It certainly looks a great piece of furniture in the home
as well as being a functioning piece of dog equipment.
